Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center

Hello everyone,

This one is a bit of a throwback from late July when I visited the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Center, an ambitious project that recently came to life under under the aegis of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

The park, located in southern Athens is still under development but even now it's an incredibly refreshing space that offers a refuge away from the concrete jungle. It includes a tree lined esplanade, an artificial river and an impressive building that's bound to host many cultural events.

For the summer months, a series of free open air film screenings were organized by the center so naturally we couldn't resist. What's better than watching a Hitchcock classic in such a wonderful environment on a warm summer evening?

First we decided to walk around the explore the park and take some pictures.

The building definitely stands out and is the first thing you notice, thanks to its interesting architecture.

On the day we visitied, an art exhibition was open to public but unfortunately no pictures were allowed.

We made our way to the area where the open air screening was set up so we could find a good spot.

The movie, "The Trouble With Harry" was witty and hilarious and I'm glad to have added to my list of Hitchcock films I have watched.

When the night fell, the beautiful lights made our surroundings even more idyllic.

C'est tout for now!

Get ready for many exciting Fall posts to come.
